Reality Incorporated was the first fully-fledged multiversal corporation.
Overview[]
Reality Incorporated is the first fully fledged multiversal corporation, amounting to multi-billion interests in thirty-six universes. It's based in an a group of intersected artificial worlds concealed within a broken universe. It is a society founded on the oppression, subjugation and exploitation of other worlds and races.
The corporation follows the time-honored tradition of marching into less-developed realities, slaughtering the natives with superior weaponry and ruthlessly plundering their resources. It has acquired dozens of worlds throughout the multiverse, terraforming them for industrial exploitation or creating pleasure worlds where beings from the so-called higher dimensions can engage in perverse acts of sexual degradation without ruining their reputations.
Reality Incorporated even sometimes take on private commissions, remodeling an existing society to the specifications of a particular client. For example the corporation gave the undisputed king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, his own personal paradise in return for all future royalties from his recordings.
As for the natives of these realities, they are either assimilated into whatever purpose the corporation has for their habitant or shipped somewhere else as mass labor. If they are too weak, too stupid or too ugly to earn them profit through slavery or prostitution, then they are just wiped out.
History[]
The organization was found by a race of multiversal travelers called the Voyagers, a psionic species who existed as separate entities, in an intellectual and philosophical plane, a million times higher than the human race. The Voyagers traveled the multiverse, benevolently merging themselves with more primitive species, raising consciousnesses, advancing evolution and improving the entire nature of existence in the process.
The Voyagers decided humanity possessed necessary qualities for advancement. They arrived on Earth 483 during the Prohibition era, and targeted one of the most powerful and influential figures----Wade Walker, a mobster with half of Chicago's politicians in his pocket. A Voyager symbiotically entwined itself to Walker, whilst he was having a blowjob from a singer at one his speakeasies, or as Wade called it renegotiating a contract. The experience was a revelation to the Voyager, who had existed on a purely higher plane for so long that they had long since forgotten the sheer, unadulterated pleasure of physical experience blew the species away.
The Voyagers became corrupted by human nature. Whereas in the past they spread enlightenment and experience, they turned on their darker natures turning to material wealth and greed. From Earth 482 they created a large interdimensionsal empire, that unknown to the public and superhero community present that has conquered dozens of worlds, and exterminated or enslaved the inhabitants.
The Authority came into conflict with the multiversal empire by the 21st century, after a rebel force from one of the worlds Reality Incorporated conquered managed to take over one of the corporation's way stations and open a portal to what they assumed was the base of the Voyagers, and the rebels blind with anger had assumed the civilians there were the enemy and began slaughtering them.
After the superheroes killed all the rebels save for one, they learned that the rebels they wiped out were actually survivors from a world that six years ago was attacked by an extradimensional force that embarked on a systematic program of global genocide, wiping most of humanity. After the planet was pacified, Reality Incorporated initiated a terraformation process that super-compressed the planet, turning it into a vast reserve of fossil fuel that exports across the multiverse.
When the crimes of Reality Incorporated were made aware to the Authority, Wade Walker attempted to bargain with the heroes, offering to leave their Earth alone while the corporation took the rest of the multiverse., but they rejected the offer leading to a conflict.
