Kirby's Saloon was a biker bar located in Bakesfield, CA. It was featured in the comic series "The Humans."
Overview[]
Kirby's Saloon was the hang out of an ape biker gang known as the Humans and owned by an orangutan named Larry. Cold beer such as Banana Beer, pizza, and tacos were sold at the bar. And there was a pool table and jukebox in the back.
History[]
In 1969, a rival biker gang known as the Skabbs led by Woz attempted to crash at the bar, only to have Larry block their way with a shotgun as they were not welcomed. The Skabbs were not intimidated by the old ape, and were prepared to even cut him to get to the bar. The Humans led by Bobby Moore arrived to confront them and protect Larry and the bar. Mojo one of the Humans publicly beat up Woz in front of his gang causing them to split. After they left they trashed Woz's bike that was left behind as a reminder to not mess with the Humans.
In 1970, after the Humans won big at Flex Trucking's skin fights after they doped up one of their skins, Rex, with a new drug called Spazm, turning him into a berserker and killing his opponent Bubba. The Madfückers who also bet on Rex were invited by the Humans to Kirby's to celebrate.
While the gang were on a meth run to L.A. for Abe Simian, owner of Flex Trucking, Larry took care of Rex in the absence his owner Brick being busy on the job. Some weeks later they completed a successfully meth drug to L.A. and came to Kirby's to celebrate.
Unknown to the gang one of their own, Crispin reached out to Simian and informed him that the Humans were plotting to create their own drug network using Spazm. Simian immediately retaliated by sending his goons and the Skaabs to attack Kirby's bar to murder all the Humans.
They shot up the bar, killing Larry and several civilians inside. The Human who were caught by surprised attempted to fight back, but unfortunately the fight resulted in the death of their leader, Bobby Moore and Bricks.
After the massacre, Johnny Moore took leadership over the Humans and sought revenge on the Skabbs, murdering every single member and then attacking Flex Trucking with his gang and an army of naked human savages.
