Overview[]

Galtite Mining Company

The Galtite Mining Corporation headquarters on Tokai Tokai

The Galtite Mining Corporation was the largest industrial powerhouse on Planet Tokai Tokai, dominating much of their planet's star system and beyond and had made its vast wealth through strip-mining mineral-rich worlds of all of their most valuable gems. Their main headquarters was a towering a brightly colored building with unique architecture that made it stand out from the rest of Tokai Tokai's more uniformal urban complexes, a symbol of the company's staggering hold over the economy.

Their vast financial influence granted them a degree of immunity from interplanetary authorities who could not act against Galtite without concrete evidence of any kind, and as Galtite would relentlessly leave a world in ruin while their mercenaries wiped out resistance, very few would remain who could speak out against them.

Galtite Planets

Galtite's conquered worlds

Their influence was such that they even owned entire star systems, including Planet Koya Koya's star system, having strip-mined dozens of worlds, having scared off or even destroyed any native inhabitants that stood in their way. They were not even above destroying an entire planet and collecting what remained if it was necessary, as seen with their violent attempts to overtake Koya Koya.

History[]

Galtite Co.'s conflict with Planet Koya Koya begins

The Galtite Mining Corporation had been in operation on Planet Tokai Tokai for what may likely have been years or more, however, the exact details of their founding and history are unknown. What is certain is that as Galtite's mining operations expanded, so did their power and influence over Tokai Tokai, eventually becoming the economic powerhouse of their entire star system and beyond, with very few able to stand against them as they mined planets into nothing and brushed away any evidence of wrongdoings.

Galtite Crystals

Galtite Crystals

During one of their searches for valuable ores, they discovered a very special kind of crystal on Planet Koya Koya. These rare crystals, which they dubbed "Galtite Crystals", were endowed with a very potent energy which could be released when two crystal shards made contact with one another, granting users greater abilities and empowering machines like never before, especially in large quantities, leading Galtite Corp. to establish a mining facility on Koya Koya in order to drive out the settlers in the hopes of strip-mining the planet for its incredibly valuable energy crystals, even going so far as burning crops, antagonizing settlers, and it was even believed by some citizens that Galtite was responsible for the death of Koya Koya's discoverer after he opposed their efforts, leaving his wife, daughter, and eldest son Roppuru without a father and the planet without a leader.

Galtite attack

Over time, Galtite would continue to harass the locals through idle threats and vandalism, even attempting to kill Roppuru during his attempts to contact Space Patrol authorities on Tokai Tokai. These activities would escalate to their limit when mysterious off-worlders appeared, a young boy named Nobita and his robotic feline companion Doraemon, who became fast friends with Roppuru and proceeded to work together with the rest of Koya Koya's settlers to put a stop to Galtite Corp.'s activities, a task which went in favor of the spaceblazing heroes who found themselves endowed with superhuman strength while on Koya Koya.

The activities of the spaceblazers naturally aroused the anger of Galtite's mining chief, Borgant, who went to great lengths to eliminate the troublesome heroes with his henchmen, but all of his attempts would end in failure. This would force him to call upon Galtite HQ for aid, who sent their elite enforcer, Guillermin, to finish them, and to make sure their plan succeeded, they were also give the company's ultimate weapon, the "Core Destruction Device" which would ensure the destruction of the planet for later mining while scaring off or killing the inhabitants while making it all look like an accident.

Galtite arrest

Fortunately for Planet Koya Koya, the spaceblazing heroes fought bravely and were able to stop Galtite's plans, having destroyed Galtite's starship, defeated Guillermin, deactivated the Core Destruction Device, and gave the Space Patrol the chance to get solid proof on Galtite, finally leading to the arrest of Borgant and the Galtite CEO, and leading to the end of the Galtite Mining Corporation.

Vehicles[]

Galtite Bull Train[]

Bull Train

The Galtite Bull Train

The Galtite Bull Train (ガルタイト・ブルトレイン, Garutaito Burutorein) was the company's preeminent starship, serving as a mobile space fortress that loomed over Galtite territories. It was both a great weapon and a mobile headquarters capable of great destruction, resembling a space locomotive in the image of a bull, befitting the recurring bull iconography of the company.

The ship was an immense rectangular vessel with bull-like horns near its command deck and it was outfitted with heavy guns, mighty engines with limited hyperspace capabilities, offensive retractable spikes which could be used for ramming into other ships, as well as escape pods for emergency situations.

However, despite the Galtite Bull Train's immense size and firepower, its durability, or at least those of its glass viewports, can be challenged by beings from worlds with heavier gravity, as seen when Nobita and Doraemon were able to crack one of the Bull Train's viewports after they accidentally threw a baseball at it, as they found themselves with superhuman strength while on Koya Koya.

During Galtite's final conflict with the spaceblazing heroes of Koya Koya, the heroes used the very Galtite crystals the company had been searching for as projectiles against the Bull Train, launching them at the massive starship and penetrating its defenses with explosive blasts, causing the Bull Trail to fall into Galtite's Koya Koya mining facility in a huge explosion, destroying it once and for all, but not before one of its escape pods jettisoned with the surviving crew and mining director Borgant onboard.

Galtite Saucer[]

The Galtite Saucers were simple dish-shaped hover vehicles capable of holding up to two passengers and were equipped with laser cannons for offensive measures as well as a deadly heat-ray device on its underside which could be used for both mining and destroying crops, with the second purpose seeing much use during Galtite's attempts to scare off the inhabitants of Koya Koya. Although intimidating, they are no match against Doraemon's secret gadget arsenal or Nobita's enhanced strength while on Koya Koya.

Galtite Mine Car[]

The Galtite Mine Car resembles a standard minecart in it being a simple stock vehicle restricted to riding on metal tracks that is mainly used for hauling ore around Galtite mining facilities, however, it is capable of self-propulsion and can be used as a riding vehicle for getting around the mines as well, and even mining chief Borgant has his own Galtite Mine Car which he uses to travel to and from his office in the company's Koya Koya mining facility.

Equipment[]

Galtite Pistols[]

Galtite Pistols

Galtite Pistols

Galtite Pistols are the standard issue weapon for all Galtite Corporation enforcers, being black laser pistols capable of instant and continuous fire which materialise as green laser blasts.

These pistols are very effective against most, however, their wielders found themselves outmatched by the expert marksmanship of the spaceblazing hero, Nobita, whose toy guns could easily disarm Galtite soldiers thanks to his enhanced abilities while on Koya Koya.

Galtite Surveillance Drones[]

Galtite Surveillance Drones

Galtite Surveillance Drones

Galtite Surveillance Drones were small and spherical camera droids designed to monitor any activity on Galtite Corporation property, a task made easy by their hovering capabilities, allowing them to fly freely and swiftly wherever they wished.

These units are constantly on duty when activated and will respond to any movement or sound made within reach of their sensors, activating their lights and alarms upon spotting trespassers. However, they are not equipped for fighting, lacking any sort of weapons, nor are they very durable, and can easily be destroyed with most weapons.

Core Destruction Device[]

Galtitte Planetary Destruction Device

The Core Destruction Device

The Core Destruction Device (コア破壊装置, Koa Hakai Sōchi) was the deadliest machine in Galtite's arsenal, being an energized drilling device operated by Galtite computers and capable of igniting a planet's core, causing volcanic eruptions, tectonic shifts and eventually the destruction of an entire planet. This tool was used as a last resort by Galtite when natives proved too stubborn to abandon a planet, using the device to fool them into believing that the planet was naturally on the brink of destruction.

Galtite sought to use their Core Destruction Device on Planet Koya Koya after their efforts to intimidate the locals proved unsuccessful due to the actions of Koya Koya's heroes. The device did its job well and caused massive earthquakes and volcanic eruptions that nearly destroyed the whole planet.

Fortunately, Galtite's plans were stopped and the machine's devastation was undone thanks to the young hero Roppuru who used Doraemon's Time Cloth gadget on the device, reversing the destruction it had caused.

Staff[]

CEO[]

Galtite's Chief Executive Officer (aka the "Head Boss") was the enigmatic and elusive head of the Galtite Mining Corporation, only ever operating from the shadows, pulling the strings that dictated the schemes of his company's ruthless actions, with Borgant and Guillermin serving as his loyal enforcers.

The CEO's hunger for profit knew no bounds, seeing planets as mere commodities, ripe for exploitation. Resources were extracted, civilizations crushed, and lives discarded—all in the pursuit of wealth. This was especially so for the star system of Koya Koya, where his whims became mining chief Borgant's directives, and entire worlds trembled under their combined influence.

The CEO never bothered to present himself or even speak directly to Borgant, but when Borgant's plans faltered due to the actions of Nobita, Doraemon, and Roppuru and he began requesting aid against them from Corporate HQ, the CEO dispatched Guillermin—the company's most lethal enforcer to get the job done and supplied them with the plan and means to destroy Koya Koya for good.

Unfortunately for Galtite, despite their deadliest efforts, Borgant and Guillermin were unable to defeat the protectors of Koya Koya, and following their defeat, the authorities of the Space Patrol closed in on Galtite HQ as the company's recent actions finally served as unquestionable proof of their criminal activities, allowing them to surround Galtite HQ with little chance for escape for the CEO or any other executive. Elsewhere, Borgant tried to avoid blame for his actions, pinning everything he did entirely on the actions of his superior.

Galtite Mining Chief[]

Borgant was the executive head of mining operations for the Galtite Mining Corporation. A calculating and ruthless individual, his loyalty lay not with the well-being of the planets he exploited, but rather with the insatiable greed of his company. Borgant's role was that of a middleman, executing the whims of the corporation's CEO with unwavering determination.

Throughout his tenure, Borgant oversaw the conquest and destruction of many worlds. His modus operandi was simple: mine each planet for every valuable resource it possessed, leaving behind desolation and ruin. He cared little for the lives affected by his actions, viewing them as mere obstacles to profit. This was especially so in regards to his plans for Planet Koya Koya which became the stage for Borgant's most audacious plan. He dispatched his subordinates to harass the planet's residents, destroying their crops and disrupting their way of life in order to have complete control over the planet's resources and collect their valuable Galtite Crystals. But fate had other plans. Nobita and Doraemon, the newly appointed protectors of Koya Koya from a faraway planet, thwarted Borgant's every move.

As Borgant's plans unraveled, he reached out to Galtite Mining Corporation headquarters for assistance, with the CEO sending the company's most deadly top enforcer, Guillermin. Borgant hoped that Guillermin would finally eliminate the pesky duo as he initiated the final plan sent to him by the Galtite CEO, the activation of the Core Destruction Device, a cataclysmic weapon capable of obliterating the entirety of Planet Koya Koya and making it look like an accident in order to scare off the settlers and destroy those who remained.

Despite Borgant's meticulous planning though, Guillermin met his demise at the hands of Nobita, Doraemon and the brave Koya Koyan boy, Roppuru. Borgant, cornered and desperate, activated the Core Destruction Device himself. But fate intervened once more. Roppuru rallied his comrades to stop the impending catastrophe and their combined efforts thwarted Borgant's destructive ambitions.

Following Borgant's failed plans, there was now enough evidence to expose Galtite's criminal undertakings, leading to Borgant's swift apprehension by the Space Patrol. In a final act of desperation, Borgant denied any personal responsibility for his violent deeds, claiming that all of his actions were carried out under orders from headquarters. But justice prevailed, and Borgant faced the consequences of his actions.

Top Enforcer[]

Galtite Mining Corporation's top enforcer, Guillermin

Galtite's top enforcer, Guillermin

Guillermin was the formidable top enforcer of the Galtite Mining Corporation who operated in the shadows with chilling efficiency. His loyalty lay solely with the corporation, and he had no qualms about eliminating any obstacle in his path.

When Borgant was driven into a corner by Planet Koya Koya's protectors, Nobita, Doraemon and Roppuru, he called upon Galtitle Corporate HQ for help, who sent him Guillermin, knowing that his skills would be more than a match for the heroes. Guillermin's methods were as cold as space itself, remaining confident that he could defeat the empowered heroes and ensure the domination of Planet Koya Koya. As part of their new plan, courtesy of Galtite's CEO, Borgant and Guillermin "warned" Koya Koya's inhabitants to evacuate the planet immediately because of volcanic eruptions that would soon destroy the whole planet, but in truth, these eruptions were being caused by their devastating new weapon capable of obliterating the entire planet, making sure the inhabitants would either need to flee or be destroyed, and it would all look like an accident, and those who willfully submitted to Galtite's whims and blackmail would be promised new employment under Galtite if they aided them against Koya Koya's heroes.

Guillermin's demise

When Nobita, Doraemon and Roppuru became aware of Borgant and Guillermin's activities, they attempted to stop their weapon, but Guillermin proved too cunning, besting them as they tried to infiltrate the Galtite mining base containing the weapon. Guillermin was then prepared to assassinate the boys, but in a fortunate moment, Doraemon activated his Weather Training Machine, conjuring a storm to distract Guillermin. The boys seized the opportunity to flee, but Guillermin's resolve remained unshaken, firing on them relentlessly, determined to eliminate them.

In a last desperate move, Roppuru aimed his pistol at Guillerman with assistance from Nobita, and their combined effort struck true—right between Guillerman's eyes. Putting an end to Galtite's top enforcer.

Enforcers[]

Galtite Mining Corporation - Metz & Goss

Galtite enforcers, Metz & Goss

Metz & Goss (aka Doubt & Uno) serve as the main enforcers and henchmen for mining director Borgant, carrying out his orders whatever they may be.

They have no moral scruples and will happily carry out any task set by Borgant whether it be harassing civilians, destroying property or even kidnapping and potentially murder if need be. Because of this, they came into conflict against the spaceblazing heroes of Koya Koya time and time again and only found themselves defeated at every turn, and it was this continuous habit of failure and incompetence on their part which lead to Borgant calling upon the aid of Galtite HQ to send someone more competent, leading to Guillermin being summoned.

Even with Guillermin's assistance and the support of HQ, Metz, Goss and their superiors were still defeated in the end, and when they escaped the destruction of the Bull Train, Metz, Goss and Borgant found themselves arrested by the Space Patrol forces.

Workforce[]

Galtite Soldiers

Galtite Mining henchmen trying to destroy Koya Koya's farmlands

Galtite employed a vast workforce of employees and henchmen who handled mining activities and carried out any duty given to them by the higher ups, showing themselves to be just as corrupt as those they worked for and were not above committing countless illegal activities for the sake of Galtite. Many though were also likely victims of worlds destroyed by Galtite who were given the option to work for the company for aiding Galtite in mining planets, as seen with the offers given mining director Borgant.

Galtite Corporation henchmen wore identical uniforms consisting of purple jumpsuits bearing the comapny logo on them, along with brown leather-like gloves and boots, black belts with weapon holsters, black bandanas, and oversized purple brim hats which completely obscured their faces from view.

Most Galtite henchmen had the standard Galtite Saucer as their main form of transportation, but some members instead rode on beasts of burden, such as the Koya Koyan Ram-Birds.

During their campaign to scare off Planet Koya Koya's inhabitants, Galtite henchmen went about destroying crops, burning fields and even kidnapping and destroying property on the planet. In the end though, seemingly many of these forces perished following the destruction of the Galtite Bull Train at the hands of Koya Koya's spaceblazing heroes.

Trivia[]

Galtite Mining Corporation gun in Doraemon The New Record of Nobita's Spaceblazer

The alternate design for Guillermin's gun in the remake

  • In the 2009 remake Doraemon: The New Record of Nobita's Spaceblazer, the company's various gun models (and those of other characters in the film) were changed to look less like real guns, being given lighter colors over their original black color schemes with added toyetic features, especially in regards to the guns used by the protagonists.
    • Guillermin's death was also censored for the film, instead being defeated and arrested due to the stricter rating and censorship laws put into place since 1981.
  • Galtite appears as a collectible material in the 2005 video game, Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, even being said to draw out latent power like Galtite in Doraemon. However, Galtite in the game is presented as a red metal ore rather than as a blue crystal.
