- “Naturally flavored.”
- ―Penn Pavel's slogan
Penn Pavel's is a brewing company which first appeared in the 1998 film The Truman Show.
Overview
The Penn Pavel's brewing company were the official producers of Penn Pavel's Beer and served as one of many key sponsors for the incredibly popular but highly controversial reality television series The Truman Show by Mr. Christof. As with many of the show's sponsors, their various products were placed around the artificial island-sized studio set of Seaheaven Island along the usual routes of the show's titular and captive star, Truman Burbank. Truman's co-star Marlon would drink this brand of beer when conversing with Truman in order to promote their show.
Following Truman's escape from Christof's clutches however, it is likely that all sponsors withdrew their support from The Truman Show.
Appearances
Since Penn Pavel's appearance on The Truman Show, its various beer props have since appeared in various films and TV shows due to the props being frequently recycled by the prop makers at Earl Hays Press and are not examples of a shared continuity.
