Ewing Oil Co. (aka Ewing Enterprises or just Ewing Oil) was a petroleum conglomerate owned and founded by Jock Ewing and later managed by his feuding sons. It originates from the 1978 soap opera Dallas.

Overview[]

Jock Ewing founded Ewing Oil in 1930 and ran it until 1977, eventually passing the torch on to his eldest son J.R. Ewing after his return from Vietnam, with J.R. initially serving as Vice-President and eventually becoming President and CEO after his father's retirement. Jock's son, Bobby Ewing eventually became an executive and eventually Co-CEO of the company alongside J.R., a position which J.R. resented and which fueled their already heated feud. Bobby eventually started his own company, Ewing Construction. Jock's middle son, Gary Ewing eventually started a more ambitious business in Ewing Enterprises which went far beyond just oil industries.
