Featured in The Truman Show (1998)

Carlton Fine Colonial Homes is a real estate company and one of the major sponsors for the OmniCam Corporation. It first appeared in the 1998 film The Truman Show.

Overview[]

Carlton Fine Colonial Homes is a real estate company specializing in the construction and sell of traditional two-story homes of modern colonial architecture in what seem to be scenic surroundings. Based on their advertisement, they appear to offer a standardized design.

Carlton served as one of many key sponsors for the incredibly popular but highly controversial reality television series The Truman Show by Mr. Christof of the OmniCam Corporation.

History[]

As with many of the show's sponsors, their various ads were placed around the artificial island-sized studio set of Seaheaven Island along the usual routes of the show's titular and captive star, Truman Burbank, with Carlton Homes being one of many sponsors that were usually placed on a poster display outside of Truman's fake office building where two actors in the roles of company clients would greet Truman while pushing him rather abruptly in the direction of the ads to create the illusion of Truman endorsing the product.

Following Truman's escape from Christof's clutches however, it is likely that all sponsors withdrew their support from The Truman Show.
